Opis projekta

Project description

The Grundtvig Learning Partnership programme supports a two-year co-operation project covering adult education organisations in different European countries. The Learning Partnership activities focus mainly on the process of exchanging experience, methods, and practices between the organisations participating in the project, which are encouraged to evaluate and interconnect their activities within the local community at an international level. The acquired funds cover all the costs of implementing the project in the local area and the costs of travelling to other partner countries.

The Soča Valley Development Centre was successful in applying for funding offered in February 2012 by the Centre of the Republic of Slovenia for Mobility and European Educational and Training Programmes, in which it obtained €14,000. The centre co-operates with partner adult education organisations in Italy, Hungary, Greece, Turkey, Poland, Romania and Great Britain. The funded project lasts from 1 August 2012 to 31 July 2014.

Short description of the project: The project focuses on the exchange of knowledge between the elderly and young people. The activities include the preparation of natural syrups, the promotion of digital literacy among the elderly (creating a profile on an online social network, and posting and updating contributions), the promotion of active ageing of the elderly by engaging them in working with young people, encouraging physical activity by picking the ingredients, documenting events, and publishing contributions.

The main goals of the project include:
• Improving foreign-language skills,
• Developing and improving IT-skills,
• Changing the attitude towards different groups of people,
